| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Reverend Keefe Cropper of Westbury United Methodist |

| 6 | 6 | | Church in Houston has long devoted himself to serving his faith and |

| 7 | 7 | | the greater community, and he is truly deserving of special |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | recognition; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Reverend Cropper received his bachelor's degree in psychology and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | worked in the drafting and engineering fields for 13 years before he |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | was called to the ministry; he earned his Master of Divinity degree |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | University; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Reverend Cropper began his career in the pulpit at |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Flint United Methodist Church in 1987 and served six other |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | congregations before becoming senior pastor of Westbury United |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Methodist Church in 2007; he is currently conducting research in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the area of evangelism and mission as a Polycarp Fellow; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Reverend Cropper enjoys the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | love and support of his wife, Tina, and two sons, Michael and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Stephen; his genuine regard for the welfare of others has enriched |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the lives of many people, and by sharing his knowledge and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | experience with his fellow congregants, he is benefiting his |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | community in countless ways; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby honor Reverend Keefe Cropper for his |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | contributions to the community and extend to him best wishes for |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | continued success in his good works; and, be it further |
