44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Reverend Keefe Cropper of Westbury United Methodist
66 Church in Houston has long devoted himself to serving his faith and
77 the greater community, and he is truly deserving of special
88 recognition; and
99 WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler,
1010 Reverend Cropper received his bachelor's degree in psychology and
1111 worked in the drafting and engineering fields for 13 years before he
1212 was called to the ministry; he earned his Master of Divinity degree
1313 from the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist
1414 University; and
1515 WHEREAS, Reverend Cropper began his career in the pulpit at
1616 Flint United Methodist Church in 1987 and served six other
1717 congregations before becoming senior pastor of Westbury United
1818 Methodist Church in 2007; he is currently conducting research in
1919 the area of evangelism and mission as a Polycarp Fellow; and
2020 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Reverend Cropper enjoys the
2121 love and support of his wife, Tina, and two sons, Michael and
2222 Stephen; his genuine regard for the welfare of others has enriched
2323 the lives of many people, and by sharing his knowledge and
2424 experience with his fellow congregants, he is benefiting his
2525 community in countless ways; now, therefore, be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2727 Legislature hereby honor Reverend Keefe Cropper for his
2828 contributions to the community and extend to him best wishes for
2929 continued success in his good works; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Reverend Cropper as an expression of high regard by the
3232 Texas House of Representatives.
