| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | honor Maricela De Len for her five years of exemplary service as |

| 7 | 7 | | legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Aaron |

| 8 | 8 | | Pea; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, From her time working in the representative's |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | district office throughout her tenure in Austin during the 81st |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Legislative Session, Ms. De Len has brought a high level of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | enthusiasm and commitment to excellence to her tasks, which have |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | included drafting analyses of legislation, meeting and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | corresponding with constituents, and providing efficient |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | administrative support; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas-Pan American |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | this dynamic young Texan is pursuing her master's degree in public |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | administration at UTPA, where she was also the president of the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Association of Public Administrators from the fall of 2008 through |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the spring of 2009; she has been actively involved with the Hidalgo |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | County chapter of Texas Democratic Women and served as the group's |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | secretary and website manager, and she has taught Bible classes at |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | St. Margaret Mary Church; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Maricela De Len has made valuable contributions to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Representative Pea's office in her role as legislative assistant, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and it is most fitting to recognize her for a job well done; now, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | therefore, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby commend Maricela De Len for her service as |
