H.R. No. 2831
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Erbie and Shirley Lewis of Woodway celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2007, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis exchanged the vows of matrimony
on that special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage,
they have found in one another a loving life partner; Mr. Lewis is
retired from the Waco Fire Department; Mrs. Lewis is a housewife;
and
WHEREAS, This inspiring couple are members of Speegleville
Baptist Church and count among their blessings a fine family that
includes two children, Glenn and Leslie, as well as two
grandchildren, Taylor and Preston, with whom they share the many
special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Erbie and Shirley Lewis have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Erbie and Shirley Lewis on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lewis as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
