| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Miguel Wise, Jr., marked a significant milestone in |

| 6 | 6 | | his life with his May 2009 graduation from The University of Texas |

| 7 | 7 | | at Austin; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mike Wise earned his bachelor's degree from the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | institution's renowned radio-television-film program while |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | minoring in business; currently employed by the Austin Aztex, he is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | honing his skills as a producer and director in charge of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | broadcasts; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure as an undergraduate, he also |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | enjoyed participating on the UT competition wakeboarding team, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | his athletic ability helped the group advance to the Collegiate |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | National Finals; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The son of Erin Wise and former State Representative |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Miguel Wise, Sr., this talented young man earned a number of radio |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and video production awards while attending Weslaco High School, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | where he served as president of the media club and director of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | football broadcasts; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mike Wise has been engaged in making movies for over |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | nine years, demonstrating a dedication to achieving his goals that |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | will serve him well in the years to come, and all those who know him |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | look forward to watching as a career of great promise unfolds; now, |

| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Miguel Wise, Jr., on his graduation |
