H.R. No. 2914
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Miguel Wise, Jr., marked a significant milestone in
his life with his May 2009 graduation from The University of Texas
at Austin; and
WHEREAS, Mike Wise earned his bachelor's degree from the
institution's renowned radio-television-film program while
minoring in business; currently employed by the Austin Aztex, he is
honing his skills as a producer and director in charge of
broadcasts; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure as an undergraduate, he also
enjoyed participating on the UT competition wakeboarding team, and
his athletic ability helped the group advance to the Collegiate
National Finals; and
WHEREAS, The son of Erin Wise and former State Representative
Miguel Wise, Sr., this talented young man earned a number of radio
and video production awards while attending Weslaco High School,
where he served as president of the media club and director of
football broadcasts; and
WHEREAS, Mike Wise has been engaged in making movies for over
nine years, demonstrating a dedication to achieving his goals that
will serve him well in the years to come, and all those who know him
look forward to watching as a career of great promise unfolds; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Miguel Wise, Jr., on his graduation
from The University of Texas at Austin and extend to him sincere
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Wise as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
