6 | 6 | | Williams has enhanced the quality of life in El Paso, and his |

7 | 7 | | efforts have earned him the heartfelt admiration of his fellow |

9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso, Mr. |

10 | 10 | | Williams earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law |
---|
11 | 11 | | and went on to build a notable resume with the U.S. Army Judge |
---|
12 | 12 | | Advocate General's Corps and as senior defense counsel at Fort |
---|
13 | 13 | | Bliss; he served his fellow citizens as associate municipal court |
---|
14 | 14 | | judge and as family court judge, and he currently operates his own |
---|
15 | 15 | | practice and serves as a visiting associate family court judge with |
---|
16 | 16 | | the 171st District Court; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Williams has long been dedicated to giving back |
---|
18 | 18 | | to the community; a former president of the Pebble Hills Elementary |
---|
19 | 19 | | PTA and the Theta Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha |
---|
20 | 20 | | Fraternity, he has co-chaired the Youth Enrichment Seminar, served |
---|
21 | 21 | | on the United Way Allocations Committee, and volunteered with the |
---|
22 | 22 | | Juvenile Drug Court of the 409th District Court; his work has also |
---|
23 | 23 | | benefited St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Leadership El Paso, |
---|
24 | 24 | | and Junior Achievement of the Desert Southwest; and |
---|
25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Recognized for his many contributions, Mr. Williams |
---|
26 | 26 | | has earned the Outstanding Community Service Award from Phillips |
---|
27 | 27 | | Chapel CME Church, the Outstanding Citizenship Award from Delta |
---|
28 | 28 | | Sigma Theta Sorority, and the inaugural President's Award from the |
---|
29 | 29 | | El Paso branch of the NAACP; most recently, he has been honored with |
---|
30 | 30 | | the local NAACP Community Service Award and the El Paso Commission |
---|
31 | 31 | | for Women Community Service Recognition; and |
---|
32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their |

33 | 33 | | time with others are indeed deserving of our profound gratitude, |

34 | 34 | | and it is a pleasure to honor this esteemed Texan who has enriched |
