| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | honor Michael Hutson for his outstanding work as an intern in the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | office of State Representative Norma Chavez; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff in April 2006, Mr. Hutson |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | has gained firsthand knowledge of the governmental process and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | experience in a political environment, as well as insight into the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | issues facing our communities and our state today; in addition to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | assisting with constituent matters and at committee meetings, he |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | has worked on events in the El Paso district office; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hutson earned his bachelor's degree in history |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | from The University of Texas at Austin, and he plans to begin his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | studies at the Villanova University School of Law in Pennsylvania |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | in the fall of 2009; a National Hispanic Scholarship winner, he is a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | member of the Austin chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Society; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hutson has brought skill, dedication, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | enthusiasm to his work for House District 76, and it is most fitting |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to recognize him for a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commend Michael Hutson for his service as an |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | intern in the office of State Representative Norma Chavez and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
