 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Carlos Eduardo Mejia has provided indispensable
 support to the Capitol office of Representative Norma Chavez; and
 WHEREAS, Willing to take on any project that is asked of him,
 Mr. Mejia has managed his many daily responsibilities in an
 exceptional manner, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and
 the perseverance to overcome all challenges brought before him; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Mejia previously worked as an intern in the
 Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security of the Houston
 Mayor's Office, where he updated the division's website, helped
 organize a community event, and assisted the director with a
 variety of tasks; in addition, he served as a supervisor at Sellers
 Brothers, Inc.; and
 WHEREAS, A classmate of Representative Chavez at The
 University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Mejia is majoring in business and
 is distinguished as a Rapoport Service Scholar, a member of the
 Hispanic Business Student Association, and an assistant instructor
 for the Texas Latin Dance Club; and
 WHEREAS, Carlos Mejia has performed his duties in the office
 of Representative Chavez with skill and dedication, and his fine
 work has been of great benefit to the constituents of House District
 76 and people throughout the state; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Carlos Eduardo Mejia for his outstanding
 service in the office of Representative Norma Chavez and extend to
 him sincere best wishes for continued success in all of his
 endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Mejia as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
