| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lee Shapleigh was named Outstanding State Attorney |

| 6 | 6 | | at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the El Paso |

| 7 | 7 | | Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Shapleigh is the division chief of the |

| 9 | 9 | | Environmental Crime, General Counsel, and Land Use and Subdivision |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Plat Compliance units in the El Paso County Attorney's Office; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |

| 12 | 12 | | members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Shapleigh |

| 15 | 15 | | is a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Shapleigh has |

| 17 | 17 | | garnered the respect and admiration of her colleagues, and she may |

| 18 | 18 | | take justifiable pride in her notable accomplishments; now, |
