H.R. No. 3016
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lee Shapleigh was named Outstanding State Attorney
at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the El Paso
Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Shapleigh is the division chief of the
Environmental Crime, General Counsel, and Land Use and Subdivision
Plat Compliance units in the El Paso County Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
for their professional achievements, service to the legal
profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Shapleigh
is a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Shapleigh has
garnered the respect and admiration of her colleagues, and she may
take justifiable pride in her notable accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lee Shapleigh on being named the
2009 Outstanding State Attorney by the El Paso Bar Association and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Shapleigh as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
