44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Carlos G. Madrid was named the Outstanding Young
66 Lawyer at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the
77 El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
88 WHEREAS, An associate at Scott Hulse, P.C., Charlie Madrid
99 graduated with highest honors from The University of Texas at El
1010 Paso in 2004 and from Yale Law School in 2007, and he currently
1111 practices in the areas of litigation, labor and employment, and
1212 competition and antitrust; he is the president of the UTEP Law
1313 School Preparation Institute Alumni Affinity Group and the vice
1414 president of the El Paso Young Lawyers Association; and
1515 WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
1616 members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
1717 for their professional achievements, service to the legal
1818 profession, and contributions to their community, and Mr. Madrid is
1919 indeed a deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and
2020 WHEREAS, Through his dedicated efforts, Carlos Madrid has
2121 garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he may
2222 indeed take justifiable pride in his notable accomplishments; now,
2323 therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2525 Legislature hereby congratulate Carlos G. Madrid on being named the
2626 2009 Outstanding Young Lawyer by the El Paso Bar Association and
2727 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
2828 happiness; and, be it further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for Mr. Madrid as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3131 House of Representatives.
