| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Carlos G. Madrid was named the Outstanding Young |

| 6 | 6 | | Lawyer at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the |

| 7 | 7 | | El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, An associate at Scott Hulse, P.C., Charlie Madrid |

| 9 | 9 | | graduated with highest honors from The University of Texas at El |

| 10 | 10 | | Paso in 2004 and from Yale Law School in 2007, and he currently |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | practices in the areas of litigation, labor and employment, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | competition and antitrust; he is the president of the UTEP Law |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | School Preparation Institute Alumni Affinity Group and the vice |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | president of the El Paso Young Lawyers Association; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |

| 16 | 16 | | members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | profession, and contributions to their community, and Mr. Madrid is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | indeed a deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedicated efforts, Carlos Madrid has |

| 21 | 21 | | garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he may |

| 22 | 22 | | indeed take justifiable pride in his notable accomplishments; now, |
