| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Maria Del Carmen Guerrero was recognized with the |

| 6 | 6 | | Liberty Bell Award at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation |

| 7 | 7 | | hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Guerrero was honored for her contributions to |

| 9 | 9 | | the legal profession with the award, which is given to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | non-attorneys who have worked to benefit the El Paso legal |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | community in significant ways; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Guerrero |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is a most worthy recipient of this special accolade; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Guerrero has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | garnered the respect and appreciation of her fellow Texans, and she |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | may indeed take justifiable pride in her notable accomplishments; |

| 20 | 20 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Del Carmen Guerrero on her |
