H.R. No. 3019
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Maria Del Carmen Guerrero was recognized with the
Liberty Bell Award at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation
hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Guerrero was honored for her contributions to
the legal profession with the award, which is given to
non-attorneys who have worked to benefit the El Paso legal
community in significant ways; and
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
for their professional achievements, service to the legal
profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Guerrero
is a most worthy recipient of this special accolade; and
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Guerrero has
garnered the respect and appreciation of her fellow Texans, and she
may indeed take justifiable pride in her notable accomplishments;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Del Carmen Guerrero on her
receipt of the Liberty Bell Award from the El Paso Bar Association
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Guerrero as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
