| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Selena Solis was named the Outstanding Federal |

| 6 | 6 | | Attorney at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the |

| 7 | 7 | | El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Solis is an assistant federal public defender in |

| 9 | 9 | | the El Paso Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Western |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | District of Texas; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | for their professional achievements, service to the legal |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Solis is |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | indeed a deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Solis has |

| 17 | 17 | | garnered the respect and admiration of her colleagues, and she may |

| 18 | 18 | | take justifiable pride in her accomplishments; now, therefore, be |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
