H.R. No. 3020
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Selena Solis was named the Outstanding Federal
Attorney at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the
El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Solis is an assistant federal public defender in
the El Paso Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Western
District of Texas; and
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
for their professional achievements, service to the legal
profession, and contributions to their community, and Ms. Solis is
indeed a deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Ms. Solis has
garnered the respect and admiration of her colleagues, and she may
take justifiable pride in her accomplishments; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Selena Solis on being named the
2009 Outstanding Federal Attorney by the El Paso Bar Association
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Solis as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
