| 7 | 7 | | Corpus Christi claimed district, bi-district, and area titles and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | advanced to the regional quarterfinal round of the University |

| 9 | 9 | | Interscholastic League 4A playoffs; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Cherokees claimed the 31-4A championship by |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | winning each of their 11 conference games, and they closed out the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | regular season with a 10-game winning streak in which they gave up a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | total of just three runs and held the majority of their opponents |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | scoreless; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In the playoffs, Tuloso Midway bested Mission |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Veterans Memorial High School and then topped Port Lavaca Calhoun |

| 17 | 17 | | in a three-game series to earn a spot in the regional quarterfinals; |

| 18 | 18 | | there, the squad fell to Medina Valley in a hard-fought 1-0 game to |

| 19 | 19 | | close out the season with an overall record of 22 wins and 5 losses; |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Relying on a true team effort during the 2009 |

| 22 | 22 | | campaign, the Cherokees received vital contributions from each |
