H.R. No. 3065
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Honorable Samuel Medrano, Jr., was named the
Outstanding Jurist at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation
hosted by the El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Judge Medrano presides over the 409th District Court
in his native El Paso County, and he hears both criminal and civil
cases; and
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
for their professional achievements, service to the legal
profession, and contributions to their community, and Judge Medrano
is a most deserving recipient of this impressive accolade; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated efforts, Judge Medrano has
garnered the respect and admiration of his colleagues, and he may
take justifiable pride in his notable accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Samuel Medrano, Jr., on being
named the 2009 Outstanding Jurist by the El Paso Bar Association and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Judge Medrano as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
