H.R. No. 3075 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Daniel Salinas of Alice has rendered valiant service to this state and nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Salinas deployed to Iraq in October 2008 and returned home on April 14, 2009; notwithstanding the hardships he faced in a war zone, he performed his challenging and dangerous work as a machine gunman with dedication and professionalism; and WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Lance Corporal Salinas has received the loving support of his parents, Juan and Yvette Davila, his brother, Juan Gabriel Davila, Jr., his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Pineda and Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto Davila, and his great-grandmother, Consuelo Buentello; and WHEREAS, Through his dedication to duty, honor, and this country, Daniel Salinas embodies the highest ideals of the United States armed forces, and he is deserving of his fellow citizens' utmost respect and appreciation; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby honor Lance Corporal Daniel Salinas for his steadfast service in Iraq and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Lance Corporal Salinas as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
