H.R. No. 3088 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to honor Cameron Eckel for her outstanding work as an intern in the office of State Representative Vicki Truitt; and WHEREAS, Ms. Eckel was indispensible to the smooth running of the office during session, helping to draft letters and to prepare Representative Truitt for floor debate; she was also particularly adept at updating the representative's FileMaker Pro database, and she has been equally adept at disguising the fact that she never wants to hear the name "FileMaker Pro" ever again; and WHEREAS, This energetic and good-humored young Texan was also highly skilled at dealing with difficult phone calls, saving her annoyance until after the conclusion of the call so that she could let the rest of the office know just how illogical people can be; and WHEREAS, Having celebrated her 21st birthday on May 17, Ms. Eckel will now move on to new opportunities and challenges; she may take with her the knowledge that she has made important contributions to the legislative process and the constituents of House District 98 during the current session, and Representative Truitt is personally grateful for her dedication, professionalism, teamwork, and valuable assistance; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby commend Cameron Eckel for her service as an intern in the office of State Representative Vicki Truitt and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Eckel as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
