| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Stewart concluded his term on the Richardson |

| 6 | 6 | | City Council in May 2009, and it is indeed a pleasure to recognize |

| 7 | 7 | | him for his outstanding contributions to his community; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Elected to represent Place 7 in 2007, Mr. Stewart |

| 9 | 9 | | joined the council after retiring as a lieutenant in the Richardson |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Police Department, where he had served for 25 years; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, He is a member of the Richardson Central Rotary |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Club, the Richardson Masonic Lodge, and the Breckinridge Park |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Estates Homeowners Association and is past president of the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Richardson Citizen Fire Academy Alumni Association; he regularly |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | shows his support for the U.S. military by greeting troops at |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Stewart is a notable public servant, and his |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | achievements have helped to make Richardson an even better place in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby honor Dennis Stewart on the occasion of his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | retirement as a member of the Richardson City Council and extend to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
