H.R. No. 3104
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, After nearly a decade of service on the Plano
Independent School District board of trustees, Melody Timinsky
concluded her outstanding tenure in 2009; and
WHEREAS, School board members play an integral role in the
education of our children, and since 2000 Melody Timinsky has
committed herself to supporting the efforts of the Plano ISD to
provide a high-quality public education to many young Texans; and
WHEREAS, The Place 6 trustee, Ms. Timinsky was the vice
president of the board from 2005 through 2008; she has represented
the group on the Plano Economic Development Board, the chamber of
commerce, and the Head Start Advisory Committee and was the City of
Richardson liaison in 2007 and 2008; and
WHEREAS, With the utmost dedication, Melody Timinsky has
worked to build a bright future for area schoolchildren, and it is
indeed a pleasure to recognize her for notable contributions to her
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby honor Melody Timinsky for her service as a
trustee of the Plano Independent School District and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Timinsky as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
