| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Those young people who give of their time and |

| 6 | 6 | | talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature are |

| 7 | 7 | | truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and Chase Carter |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | is one such individual; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Carter has served as an administrative aide in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the office of State Representative Will Hartnett since September |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 2008, and his dedication and hard work have been greatly |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | appreciated by his colleagues; he has managed his many daily |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | responsibilities in an exceptional manner, demonstrating a keen |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and a patience that |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | seemingly has no bounds; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A recent graduate of St. Edward's University, where |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | he earned a bachelor's degree in political science, Mr. Carter was |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | active in student government and served as a student representative |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | on the academic advisory council; moreover, he has participated in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the greater community as a GOP delegate to the senatorial district |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | convention for Precinct 433; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Carter has gained an understanding of the inner |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | workings of the Texas Legislature and the legislative process that |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | will surely serve him well as he prepares to enter law school; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | although his coworkers are sorry to see his tenure end, they share |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | his excitement as he prepares to embark on a future that is bright |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby honor Chase Carter for his outstanding service |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | as an administrative aide and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
