R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lori Bratcher has been named the 2009 Elementary
Teacher of the Year by the Weatherford Independent School District;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Bratcher earned a degree in elementary education
from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, and since then she
has acquired 16 years of classroom experience; and
WHEREAS, A fifth-grade teacher at Curtis Elementary School,
Ms. Bratcher inspires in her students a love of learning that places
them on the path to a bright and rewarding future; and
WHEREAS, There is no more important work than educating the
children of Texas, and Lori Bratcher is indeed deserving of
recognition for her commitment to excellence in this demanding
profession; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lori Bratcher on her selection as
the 2009 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Weatherford
Independent School District and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Bratcher as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
