 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Keegan Schmitt has attained the rank of Eagle Scout,
 and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
 criteria, Mr. Schmitt earned a total of 31 merit badges and
 successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
 community, which consisted of organizing the painting of curb stops
 at the Pasadena Convention Center to enhance pedestrian safety at
 the facility; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Rachell Wiedmeyer and Michel Schmitt,
 this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership
 ability throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and
 admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank
 that scouting offers; he is a senior at Dobie High School and a
 member of the National Honor Society, and he plans to continue his
 education with computer engineering studies at the Rochester
 Institute of Technology in New York; and
 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Schmitt's dedication to excellence and
 his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
 to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
 pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Keegan Schmitt on achieving the
 rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
 continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Schmitt as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
