 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
 honor Kathleen Rose Garrett for her outstanding work as district
 director in the office of State Representative Will Hartnett; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Garrett, who joined Representative Hartnett's
 staff as an administrative assistant in 2003, consistently
 demonstrates a high level of dedication and enthusiasm, and she
 devotes great care to every task, from studying issues to ensuring
 the proper operation of the office; and
 WHEREAS, She graduated from Bishop Lynch Catholic High School
 in Dallas and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in political
 science from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, in 2002; she
 earned a master's degree in public administration with a
 concentration in local government management in 2005 and is
 currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Dallas; and
 WHEREAS, An industrious and compassionate Texan, Ms. Garrett
 has served on the boards of the Dallas County Council of Republican
 Women, the Preston West Republican Women, the Greater Dallas
 Pachyderm Club, and the Metrocrest Family Medical Clinic; and
 WHEREAS, Kathleen Garrett is a skillful and highly regarded
 advocate for the constituents in House District 114, and it is most
 fitting to acknowledge her for a job well done; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Kathleen Garrett for her service as
 district director in the office of State Representative Will
 Hartnett and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Garrett as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
