| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A rich and generous life drew to a close with the |

| 6 | 6 | | death of Dulcenea Maria Munoz of Georgetown on April 19, 2009, at |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the age of 87; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Munoz was born on July 1, 1921, to Pedro and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Nicolasa Sotelo Gutierrez in Clovis, New Mexico; she married Juan |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | T. Munoz on April 19, 1941, and the couple shared 44 rewarding years |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | of matrimony until Mr. Munoz passed away in 1985; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Known as "Nellie" to her loved ones, Mrs. Munoz was a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | caring mother who raised nine children, Josie, Janie, Fran, Gloria, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Irene, Johnny, and Tony, as well as Julia and James, who preceded |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | their mother in death; with the passing years, she had the pleasure |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | of welcoming 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren into the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | family; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, Nellie Munoz leaves |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | her loved ones with countless fond memories of happy times spent in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | her company, and she will be forever remembered by those who held |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dulcenea Maria Munoz |

| 24 | 24 | | and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |

| 25 | 25 | | children, Josie Ancira and her husband, Jesse, Janie Bautista and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | her husband, Rudy, Fran Dee, Gloria Woodbury and her husband, |

| 27 | 27 | | Brian, Irene Mullins and her husband, Chris, Johnny Munoz and his |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | wife, Janie, and Tony Munoz and his wife, Sharon; to her |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to her brothers, Blas, Joe, |

| 30 | 30 | | and Pedro Gutierrez; to her sister, Virginia Garcia; and to her |
