| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Texas Dental Association Legislative Day is taking |

| 6 | 6 | | place at the State Capitol on February 25, 2009, and this occasion |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | provides a fitting opportunity to honor Dr. Debrah Worsham; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Worsham operates a dental practice in the city |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | of Center; highly respected by her peers, she was a 2008 nominee for |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the East Texas Dentist of the Year honor; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to maintaining high-quality dental care, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | she has taken a prominent role in issues affecting her profession; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | her efforts have included service as the chair of the Texas Dental |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Association Political Action Committee, and she is presently a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | member of the board for the American Dental Political Action |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Committee; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In addition to her other activities, Dr. Worsham has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | taken time to work with Texas Mission of Mercy, which is a nonprofit |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | community organization that provides free medical and dental |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | services and prescriptions to uninsured working poor, homeless, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | economically disadvantaged individuals; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Debrah Worsham has lent her voice and her skills |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to making a meaningful difference in her state, and it is a pleasure |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | to welcome her to Austin on the occasion of Texas Dental Association |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislative Day; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby honor Dr. Debrah Worsham for her professional |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | achievements and for her contributions to the state and extend to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
