H.R. No. 635
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Texas Dental Association Legislative Day is taking
place at the State Capitol on February 25, 2009, and this occasion
provides a fitting opportunity to honor Dr. Debrah Worsham; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Worsham operates a dental practice in the city
of Center; highly respected by her peers, she was a 2008 nominee for
the East Texas Dentist of the Year honor; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to maintaining high-quality dental care,
she has taken a prominent role in issues affecting her profession;
her efforts have included service as the chair of the Texas Dental
Association Political Action Committee, and she is presently a
member of the board for the American Dental Political Action
Committee; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her other activities, Dr. Worsham has
taken time to work with Texas Mission of Mercy, which is a nonprofit
community organization that provides free medical and dental
services and prescriptions to uninsured working poor, homeless, and
economically disadvantaged individuals; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Debrah Worsham has lent her voice and her skills
to making a meaningful difference in her state, and it is a pleasure
to welcome her to Austin on the occasion of Texas Dental Association
Legislative Day; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby honor Dr. Debrah Worsham for her professional
achievements and for her contributions to the state and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Worsham as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
