8 | 8 | | state six-man football championship on December 6, 2008; and |

9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Greenville Eagles took the title in a thrilling |

10 | 10 | | contest with the team from Heritage Christian Academy in Rockwall; |

11 | 11 | | the two teams stood even at 48-48 going into the fourth quarter at |
---|
12 | 12 | | Moody ISD Stadium, but Greenville stayed tough on both sides of the |
---|
13 | 13 | | ball to leave the field victorious by a 72-48 margin, clinching its |
---|
14 | 14 | | second state title in as many years; and |
---|
15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The championship triumph capped a spectacular year |
---|
16 | 16 | | for Greenville, in which the Eagles completed the first undefeated |
---|
17 | 17 | | season in school history, winning 12 games and dispatching several |

18 | 18 | | opponents by seven touchdowns or more; several Eagles players |
---|
19 | 19 | | received all-state honors for their exceptional play, including |

20 | 20 | | Brandon Fauley, Josh Rook, Tanner Barnes, Blake Caspari, Jake |

21 | 21 | | Schumann, Jordan Henderson, and Andrew Wombaker; and |

22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Head coach Larry Uland and his assistants David |

24 | 24 | | Dan Uland provided inspiration and guidance to the Greenville |
