H.R. No. 729
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Eleanor Anne Baumgarten of Houston on
August 25, 2008, at the age of 70, has deeply saddened all those who
were fortunate enough to know her; and
WHEREAS, Born to Arthur and Mildred Leopold on June 10, 1938,
Eleanor Leopold enjoyed the companionship of a sister, Joyce, and
three brothers, Tom, Ron, and William; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Baumgarten and her husband, Roger, shared a
rewarding relationship that was strengthened by mutual love,
kindness, and an abiding faith; they became the proud parents of two
beloved children, Matthew and Monica; and
WHEREAS, This gracious woman lived a caring and purposeful
life, and she will forever be remembered for her compassion and
quiet determination; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eleanor Anne
Baumgarten and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her
family: to her husband, Roger Baumgarten; to her children, Matthew
and Monica; to her sister, Joyce Basarich, and her husband, Dan; to
her brothers, Tom, Ron, and William Leopold; to her uncle, Bill
Leopold; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eleanor
Anne Baumgarten.
