| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Temple contribute |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Established by the Temple Chamber of Commerce, this |

| 10 | 10 | | increase their knowledge of local issues and infrastructure and to |

| 11 | 11 | | visit with the leaders who are making decisions that affect their |
|---|

| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a |

| 14 | 14 | | diverse membership with personal leadership training, networking |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable figures |

| 16 | 16 | | representing both the public and private sectors; topics covered |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | include Temple's history, government, economy, social issues, |

| 18 | 18 | | needs, opportunities, and the existing processes for dealing with |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and |

| 21 | 21 | | involved citizenry, Leadership Temple is helping to create a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | brighter and more promising future for the Lone Star State; now, |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
