| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Honey Brown Hope Foundation, the |

| 9 | 9 | | WIN Award Luncheon commemorates Women's History Month by |

| 10 | 10 | | celebrating the achievements and contributions of outstanding |

| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sapp has been a leader in television news and |

| 13 | 13 | | entertainment for 17 years; from 1992 to 1998, she worked for CBS |

| 14 | 14 | | News as a producer; selected by anchor Dan Rather to work with him |

| 15 | 15 | | on the CBS Evening News, she also worked with correspondents Ed |

| 16 | 16 | | Bradley on Street Stories and Bryant Gumbel on Public Eye with |

| 17 | 17 | | Bryant Gumbel; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, From 1999 to 2001, this gifted broadcast |

| 19 | 19 | | professional produced the Debra Duncan Show at ABC 13 in Houston, |

| 20 | 20 | | and for the past seven years, she has been an executive producer at |

| 21 | 21 | | 20th Century Fox Television, where she produces television pilots |

| 22 | 22 | | and syndicated shows; she is responsible for the development and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | overall strategy of the nationally syndicated Houston-based court |

| 24 | 24 | | show Judge Alex, now in its fifth successful year; and |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Kathy Sapp has exemplified |

| 26 | 26 | | dynamism, vision, and hard work, and she is indeed deserving of this |

| 27 | 27 | | prestigious award; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
