| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, James and Hazel Huffman of Quitman |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 31, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huffman were united in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Dallas in 1959; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of three |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | daughters, Rosa Terry, Doloris Helm, and Marcelle Eckhout, as well |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |

| 14 | 14 | | five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature hereby congratulate James and Hazel Huffman on their |

| 20 | 20 | | golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |

| 21 | 21 | | for continued happiness; and, be it further |
