R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, James and Hazel Huffman of Quitman
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huffman were united in matrimony in
Dallas in 1959; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of three
daughters, Rosa Terry, Doloris Helm, and Marcelle Eckhout, as well
as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Hazel Huffman on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Huffman as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
