H.R. No. 817
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Felipe and Zoila Hernandez of Stanton
celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on February 14, 2009;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez were united in matrimony on
Valentine's Day 1959 at a ceremony held in Tarzan, and they have
made their home in Stanton throughout their marriage; since
beginning their journey together as husband and wife, they have
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with
the addition of two children, Diana and Danny and his wife, Andrea,
and two grandsons, Ryan and Dustin Hernandez; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
half-century, Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez have remained constant in
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Felipe and Zoila Hernandez on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
