H.R. No. 824
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, James and June Neatherlin celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Neatherlin and the former June True were united
in matrimony at St. Leo's Catholic Church in San Antonio in 1959;
through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that
has been made even richer with the addition of six children, Jason,
Julia, Janice, Jean, John, and Jennifer, and 16 grandchildren,
Lori, Jay, Shannon, Hugh, Cassie, Dereck, Jason, Matthew, Jennifer,
Rick, Jessica, True, Wheatley, Kelsey, Gage, and Madison; and
WHEREAS, Valued residents of Greenville since 1969, Dr. and
Mrs. Neatherlin attend St. William Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate James and June Neatherlin on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. and Mrs. Neatherlin as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
