| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The 73rd birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |

| 6 | 6 | | cause for celebration, and Priscilla Ruth Savage of Cypress reached |

| 7 | 7 | | that impressive milestone on March 16, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Known as "Perky" to her loved ones, Mrs. Savage is a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | devoted wife to her husband, Jack, a caring and supportive mother |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and grandmother, and a true and loyal friend; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Savage has long been an inspiring leader and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | grassroots activist for the causes in which she believes; a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | precinct chair of the Harris County Republican Party since 1999, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | she is a former president of the Texas Tea Party Republican Women |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and a valued member of the Cypress Bible Church; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Now retired from the mortgage industry, Mrs. Savage |

| 17 | 17 | | enjoys volunteering, traveling, and learning new skills, and she is |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | currently mastering the networking website Facebook; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This adventurous, courageous, and good-humored |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Texas lady truly lives life to the fullest, and it is indeed a |

| 21 | 21 | | pleasure to recognize her accomplishments and virtues on this |

| 22 | 22 | | special day; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
