H.R. No. 889
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The 73rd birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
cause for celebration, and Priscilla Ruth Savage of Cypress reached
that impressive milestone on March 16, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Known as "Perky" to her loved ones, Mrs. Savage is a
devoted wife to her husband, Jack, a caring and supportive mother
and grandmother, and a true and loyal friend; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Savage has long been an inspiring leader and
grassroots activist for the causes in which she believes; a
precinct chair of the Harris County Republican Party since 1999,
she is a former president of the Texas Tea Party Republican Women
and a valued member of the Cypress Bible Church; and
WHEREAS, Now retired from the mortgage industry, Mrs. Savage
enjoys volunteering, traveling, and learning new skills, and she is
currently mastering the networking website Facebook; and
WHEREAS, This adventurous, courageous, and good-humored
Texas lady truly lives life to the fullest, and it is indeed a
pleasure to recognize her accomplishments and virtues on this
special day; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Priscilla Ruth Savage on her 73rd
birthday and extend to her warmest best wishes for continued
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Savage as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
