 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Residents of Williamson County lost an admired
 public servant and a cherished friend with the passing of Jane Ellen
 Tableriou on January 6, 2009, at the age of 64; and
 WHEREAS, Jane Tableriou was born in Chicago on January 3,
 1945; she went on to marry Nick Tableriou on June 10, 1967, and the
 couple were blessed with two children, Nicole and Brett; in 1985,
 Mrs. Tableriou and her family relocated to the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, After settling in a new home in Georgetown, Mrs.
 Tableriou soon began a distinguished tenure with Williamson County
 that would span more than two decades; as the executive assistant to
 the county judge, she first worked with the Honorable Don Wilson and
 later with the Honorable John Doerfler; the anchor of the county
 judge's office, Mrs. Tableriou earned the affectionate title,
 "Judge Jane," and because she possessed an institutional knowledge
 of Williamson County that few others could match, she was also
 sometimes referred to as its highest-ranking nonelected official;
 she built a strong partnership with Judge Doerfler, which lasted
 from 1990 through 2006, when they both retired; and
 WHEREAS, Committed to her colleagues, Mrs. Tableriou
 remained a valuable asset to Williamson County after her
 retirement; she helped plan the grand reopening celebration of the
 county's historic courthouse, and she assisted employees of the
 Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, educating them on county
 business and organizing their office; when she was not serving
 others, she enjoyed making scrapbooks, going on cruises, and
 spending time in the company of her beloved family; and
 WHEREAS, Jane Tableriou enhanced the lives of her fellow
 citizens in myriad ways, and memories of her will long be treasured
 by all those who were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jane Ellen Tableriou
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband of 41 years, Nick Tableriou; to her children, Nicole and
 Brett Tableriou; to her sister, Charlotte Buttin; to her niece,
 Melissa Pinkerton; to her nephew, Rick Buttin; and to her other
 relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jane Ellen
 Tableriou.
