| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Ellis and Pat Stewart of Big Sandy |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 17, 2008; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart were united in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1953; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and today they delight in spending time with their son, Jim, their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | daughter, Liz, and their grandson, Wesley, all of whom accompanied |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | them on a special anniversary trip to Hawaii; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | world during the past 55 years, this devoted husband and wife have |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ellis and Pat Stewart on their 55th |

| 20 | 20 | | wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |

| 21 | 21 | | continued happiness; and, be it further |
