| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Billy Jack and Jeannie Darden of |

| 7 | 7 | | Coahoma celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on May |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 31, 2008; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Darden and the former Jeannie Bobo were joined |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in matrimony on that special day in 1958 in a ceremony held at |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Westside Baptist Church in Big Spring; through the years, they have |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | been blessed with a treasured family that includes their son, Billy |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Joe Darden, their grandchildren, Brandi Rice and her husband, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Shannon, Blake Darden and his wife, Hanna, and Bryan Darden, as well |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | as their great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Tristen Rice; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Former residents of Big Spring and Midland, the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Dardens have led busy professional lives; Mr. Darden was the owner |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and operator of Fiberglass Specialists, while Mrs. Darden served as |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | vice president of State National Bank of Big Spring, and today they |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | remain active in their community as members of Wilshire Park |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Coahoma; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Darden have enjoyed half a century of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Billy Jack and Jeannie Darden on |

| 28 | 28 | | their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
