| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 2001.032, Government | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (b) On receiving a written request from the lieutenant | |
| 13 | 13 | governor, a member of the legislature, or a legislative agency, the | |
| 14 | 14 | secretary of state shall provide the requestor with electronic | |
| 15 | 15 | notification of rulemaking filings by a state agency [A state | |
| 16 | 16 | agency shall deliver to the lieutenant governor and the speaker of | |
| 17 | 17 | the house of representatives a copy of the notice of a proposed rule | |
| 18 | 18 | when the agency files notice with the secretary of state] under | |
| 19 | 19 | Section 2001.023. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
