A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the delivery of proposed state agency rules to the
lieutenant governor, a member of the legislature, or a legislative
agency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 2001.032, Government
Code, is amended to read as follows:
(b) On receiving a written request from the lieutenant
governor, a member of the legislature, or a legislative agency, the
secretary of state shall provide the requestor with electronic
notification of rulemaking filings by a state agency [A state
agency shall deliver to the lieutenant governor and the speaker of
the house of representatives a copy of the notice of a proposed rule
when the agency files notice with the secretary of state] under
Section 2001.023.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
