| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2113.011, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (f) Not later than June 1 of each year, a state agency shall | |
| 13 | 13 | provide the agency's proposed publicity expenditures, including | |
| 14 | 14 | expenditures described by Subsection (c), (d), or (e), for the | |
| 15 | 15 | following state fiscal year to each standing legislative committee | |
| 16 | 16 | with primary jurisdiction over the agency. On the vote of a majority | |
| 17 | 17 | of a standing committee's members, a standing committee may send to | |
| 18 | 18 | the agency a statement supporting or opposing a proposed | |
| 19 | 19 | expenditure. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
