 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the reporting of proposed publicity expenditures by
 state agencies to certain legislative committees.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1. Section 2113.011, Government Code, is amended by
 adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
 (f)  Not later than June 1 of each year, a state agency shall
 provide the agency's proposed publicity expenditures, including
 expenditures described by Subsection (c), (d), or (e), for the
 following state fiscal year to each standing legislative committee
 with primary jurisdiction over the agency. On the vote of a majority
 of a standing committee's members, a standing committee may send to
 the agency a statement supporting or opposing a proposed
 expenditure.
 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
