SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Legislature of the State of Texas is pleased to
join the citizens of San Antonio and the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health
Care services community in celebrating the grand opening of the
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills on July 10, 2009; and
WHEREAS, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care is well known for
its longstanding mission and 140-year history of providing superior
health care services to the citizens of San Antonio and South Texas;
its newest facility, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills,
is continuing that mission by providing those services in the
growing area of Westover Hills; and
WHEREAS, The 150-bed hospital in Westover Hills will provide
emergency room and urgent care services, obstetrics, inpatient and
outpatient surgery, family medicine, physicians' offices, and the
most advanced technology available for patient care; and
WHEREAS, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care has set the pace for
compassionate, quality health care and is among the most respected
providers of medical services in South Texas; and
WHEREAS, Through the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover
Hills, the founders of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care, the Sisters
of Charity of the Incarnate Word, members of the board of directors,
the medical staff, and its volunteers and supporters are continuing
their commitment of providing superior services to the citizens of
San Antonio and South Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas
hereby congratulate all those involved with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa
Health Care and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills on the
grand opening of the new facility and in honor of the occasion
recognize July 10, 2009, as CHRISTUS Santa Rosa - Westover Hills day
in Texas; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared to
commemorate this special occasion.
