4	4	Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith
5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
6	6	citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Ruth Ann
7	7	Wentworth Smith, who died November 4, 2008, at the age of 69; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Born September 18, 1939, Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith
9	9	was an exemplary citizen who was respected in the community for
10	10	her many accomplishments; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith will be remembered for her
12	12	graciousness, her dignity, and her dauntless spirit; and
13	13	WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion,
14	14	Mrs. Smith gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and
15	15	valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and
16	16	WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife and mother, and she leaves
17	17	behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and
18	18	many friends; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
20	20	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
21	21	family of Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith: her husband, Bennett Smith;
22	22	her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Berry Nall; and her son,
23	23	Phillip W. Davis; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
25	25	her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
26	26	Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
27	27	memory of Ruth Ann Wentworth Smith.
