| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in |

| 3 | 3 | | recognizing Francisca Saucedo for her many years of loyal service |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | with the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District; |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Francisca Saucedo first joined the district as an |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | employee in 1976; she served as a Learning Center aide until |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1982, when she returned to college to complete her studies; she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | graduated from The University of Texas--Pan American and joined |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the district as a sixth grade social studies teacher in August of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1983; she is now retiring after 26 years of teaching; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Francisca devoted herself to her work and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | assisted with a wide array of student programs and activities |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | over the years; she wrote sixth grade social studies curriculum, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | served as a University Interscholastic League coach for Modern |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Oratory, cosponsored student council, and sponsored a social |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | studies club; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Francisca's students greatly benefitted from her |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | skillful teaching methods, her sincere concern for the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | individual, and her wise counsel and encouragement; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated and resourceful educator, Francisca |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | instilled in her students an appreciation for hard work and a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | love of challenge and learning; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby commend Francisca Saucedo on her successful |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | career in the field of education and on her many contributions to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | extend best wishes to her for the retirement years ahead; and, be |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | it further |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
