 SENATE RESOLUTION
 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
 Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
 House Bill No. 1722 (proceedings that may be referred to and the
 powers of a criminal law magistrate in Bexar County) to consider
 and take action on the following matter:
 Senate Rule 12.03(1), is suspended to permit the committee
 to change text not in disagreement in SECTION 1 of the bill, in
 Subdivision (8), Subsection (a), Section 54.906, Government
 Code, to read as follows:
 (8) any other matter the judge considers necessary
 and proper, including a negotiated plea of guilty before the
 court.
 Explanation: This change is necessary to maintain the
 authority of a district judge in Bexar County to refer
 proceedings in criminal cases involving negotiated pleas of
 guilty to a criminal law magistrate.
