44 SENATE RESOLUTION
55 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
66 Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
77 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
88 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
99 House Bill No. 3612, relating to the creation of a pilot program
1010 that allows taxpayer appeals from certain appraisal review board
1111 determinations in certain counties to be heard by the State
1212 Office of Administrative Hearings, to consider and take action on
1313 the following matter:
1414 Senate Rule 12, Sections 12.03(1) and (2), are suspended
1515 to permit the committee to change and omit text which is not in
1616 disagreement in SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 2003.902,
1717 Government Code, by deleting Dallas County, which was included in
1818 both the house and senate versions of the bill, from the counties
1919 in which the pilot program created by the bill is to be
2020 implemented, so that the section reads as follows:
2121 Sec. 2003.902. COUNTIES INCLUDED. The pilot program
2222 shall be implemented in Bexar, Cameron, El Paso, Harris, Tarrant,
2323 and Travis Counties for a three-year period beginning with the ad
2424 valorem tax year that begins January 1, 2010.
2525 Explanation: This change is necessary to remove Dallas
2626 County from the counties in which the pilot program created by
2727 H.B. No. 3612 is to be implemented.
